My career
I was born in 1972, the son of
a cabinet maker and of a multidisciplinary artist. I obtained
my diploma from the Artistic Stringed Instrument School of
Noroît in 1995. I then moved to Belgium to work at the
Maison Bernard, in Brussels, under the direction of Jan Strick.
Back home in 1998, I opened my workshop in order to dedicate
myself to the making of quartet instruments.
Like most of my colleagues,
I am in search of the perfect violin. A stimulation which
enables me to surpass myself through each new instrument.
Challenges, researches, attempts and experimentations which
means that this art renews itself down the centuries, and
for how much longer...? Create the new from the old so as
to add a further sparkle : this is the alchemy of the violin
maker.
